Monster for Fun
Date
September 2024
For a fun ITLS project, we were asked to lean into hand-drawn monsters. Before going into Photoshop or Illustrator, it was time to play and be creative with drawn, digital art. This tree monster had the potential of being a character in the Magic of the Christmas Star asynchronous adventure for my students. You can check out other fun adventures and simulations in the "Experiential Learning" portfolio section.

In the design process, I've learned the simplicity of hand drawn design and been reminded of childlike creativity. I had my students do a similar project after we read portions of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley near Halloween. They each got to draw and design their own monster to present. It was so much fun!
